My First Raycaster by Alex Roper Radical Software alex@radicalsoft.org This is a SLOW raycaster for a 5*5*1 grid. You can edit the grid, its in [A]. Make sure [A] is 5*5 before running. (Go to 2nd+X-1, over to edit and select [A]) 0s don't show up, all other below 10 show up as they are. (You are at {1,1}, looking straight towards {5,5}) The raycaster works by doing a sweep in increments of 15 degrees to theta (your total view arc is 90) and then in increments of 1 to R, then converts to XY and checks to see whats there. The upper right box shows [A], the upper left shows the rays as they are cast and the bottom shows the actual view. Note-This program sets your calc to degrees. This is freeware, and no fee may be charged for it or any program/package which contains it. You may distrubute, use and edit for personal use as much as you wish, you may use the basic idea in your own programs without additional permission from me, but only if its at least 50% your own work.
