Drafting 12 ----------- This is a utility for students in Drafting 12 (and 11) to calculate ACME thread diameters using mechanical advantage of screw threads, as well as several taper dimensions. This program has been successfully tested on the TI83+ and TI83 calculators. Requirements: TI-83+ Graph Link software (TI-83 software should also work) Graph link cable (I used grey serial port) Installation: It is assumed that you would know how to do this. Notes: The textbook I use in Drafting 12 is called "Fundamentals of Technical Drawing" by Norman Stirling. The chapters involved were: 14 - Screw Threads and 16 - Tapers Unfortunately, I had originally written each chapter as a separate program. So the chapter 14 function is the last one in the program (number 3 on the second menu). All other functions are from chapter 16. If you don't understand my abbreviations, GLD stand for gauge-line diameter, and GLLD stands for gauge-line locating dimension.
