If you change it from the origional state (4920), you can change the way you send or recieve. It varies the speed in which it transmits information. Cheetah - 3978 Fast - 4840 Slow - 4999 Turtle - 3927 ********************** 2.4 Setup Code - Registry------------ This is sort of complicated, so I'll use an example. EXAMPLE: You have just wrote in a bunch of telephone numbers to keep about your friends. Appearantly, your friends don't want you to do that. So they steal your caculator, but can't figure out how to erase the numbers. So they run the setup program (COSPERS) which resets ALL of your numbers, memos, and friend lists. OH NO! To prevent this from happening, change your setup code. This way, when the setup program looks for the setup code and it's wrong, it stops and generates a error. ********************** 3.1 Earlier Versions----------------- None, this is the first. ********************** 3.2 Future Versions------------------ 1.1 Might add backwards compability for COS School (coming soon). ********************** 3.3 Other COS Products--------------- COS Standard Version (83: 5.0; 83+: 1.0) - No networking but fully functional OS to run and track programs. COS Networking Version (83: 2.0; 83+: 1.0) - Networking between 2 TI-83's. This sends/recieves memo pads, telephone numbers, and friend lists from COS Personal.
