** PASSWORD PROTECTION

Utopia has password protection. Press PRGM to set/change your password. The password must be 4 characters long, no less, no more. Press APPS to lock your calculator after you have set your password. The calculator will power off. Upon being turned on, it will prompt for the password. If the password entered is incorrect, it will turn back off. There is no way out of this unless you know the password. If you forget, you will have to pull out the batteries and reset.

** BATTERY CHECKER

In the lower right corner of Utopia's screen, there is a picture of a battery. That is the battery status monitor. It will be solid when the batteries are okay, and mostly empty when they are low. In addition, when the batteries need replacement, a catchy poem will be displayed upon startup to remind you.

** CALCULATOR TURBOER

The keys Y=, WINDOW, ZOOM, TRACE change the operating speed of the calculator. TRACE is normal speed, ZOOM is slightly faster, WINDOW is even faster, and Y= is the fastest. These keys can alter the speed of SOME programs. A good example is the Hello program included with TSE. Note that the speed setting is saved when you exit Utopia/TSE.

** ARCHIVED PROGRAMS

Utopia can run archived programs directly. When you press 2nd or Enter to run a program, if the program is archived, it's automatically unarchived before running. Utopia does not rearchive the program upon ending task.
