GEM OS 1.1 Now has some new things! It automatically "presses" A-Lock, it also displays how much free memory you have. Contents: 1. Usage 2. Installation 3. Features 4. Future Ideas/Updates 1. GEM OS stands for Generated Expandable Memory Operating System. The reason why it is called that is for one, it's generated by a program, two, it expandable (upgradable), and three, it stores things, and four, its an Operating System. It can hold up to 3 programs. But, this can be added on to by making an EXTERNAL upgrade to it. It can also display some internal info about the calculator and GEM OS. It can also clean up your calculator (all default vars: letters, lists, and strings). It also has a mini-calculator in it. Really, this is a fairly good OS, it has a lot of uses if you use it right (Ok, that last sentence was kinda stupid..., But its true!) 2. Send Gem.8xg to Ti 83+ (Will not work on Ti 83 anymore) Run prgmGEM 3. -Has an installer program (useful for creating Pics, lists, and other things for upgrades.) -Upgradable without modifying main programs. (to do this, make a prgm and put it in one of the prgm slots and run it from GEM OS. Upgrade Ideas: Folders for strings lists and other junk, an ASM prgm that makes it run faster) -Lots o' commands (CLRSCRN: clears screen, DISPCOOR/DISPCOOR2:displays text at a coordinates/ displays text at an already set coordinates uses A and B vars, SHUTDOWN: Shuts down, what else?, RESTART: restarts prgm, INSTALL: starts prgmMINSTALL, START: type after typing install to start installions, DISK: opens prgmDISK (used for storing temporary info., Strings come to mind...), PRGM1-5: opens prgms 1, 2, or 3, AUTODIS/ AUTOEN: enables/disables auto run, PASSDIS/PASSEN: disables/enables passwords, INTERNINFO/INTERNSET: displays internal info/set passwords on or off, VERSION: displays version #, CLEARCALC: erases all vars, CALC: starts mini-calculator, QUIT: Quits GEM OS) -Holds 3 prgms (Lots isn't it?) -Comes with it's own programming language (Sorta cool when you think about it...., it uses all of the GEM commands prgm structure is like so: :"CLRSCRN"->Str1 :prgmEURIX :"SHUTDOWN"->Str1 :prgmEURIX -> represents [STO] button on calc) 4. I plan to add a command called CUSTOM, this will make upgrading much easier for all you ppl who don't want to write a prgm, write the installation code, then stick it in autorun and see if it works. CUSTOM is simply a command that will start a program that will do a custom feature that you have written into it. In other words, you're making your own command. This could also be used TOGETHER with custom upgrades as a special startup feature or something..... I will probably put in a word proccesscor called word advance. It's pretty good, but I think my other one's better.. Made By: Genetic prgmMEM and prgmZAPLPHA made by: Michael Vincent send all thoughts/comments/bugs to: theelimist@hotmail.com
