RemoteCalc
By: Dan Englender (TCPA)
Version: 1.0
Calc: 83+
Shell: MirageOS
Size: 243

Info:
RemoteCalc allows you to remote control another TI-83+ calculator via the link port. When running this RemoteCalc, the other calc's screen will appear on your's, and any keys you press will be processed by the other calculator. It's similar to the computer software, PCAnywhere.

Keys:
Key presses are as normal. However, changing the contrast changes the contrast on the calculator you are typing on, not the one you are remote controlling. Press the [on] button to quit.

Limitations:
When you remote control a calculator, it will run at about 3/4 the speed of a real calculator, due to the time it takes to refresh the screen. You can't run most assembly programs with RemoteCalc. Most basic programs will run, and assembly programs that use the getkey key press routine (ie. Calcsys, Organizer) will run. Also, as [on] quits the program, you obviously can't turn the calculator off.

Not Bugs:
If the calc you are trying to remote control is not in a place where it can be controlled (ie. off, in an asm prog, etc). The screen of the calc running RemoteCalc will be blank, and will not respond to key presses. Don't worry, your calc has not crashed! All you need to do is connect it to a calculator at the homescreen (or some other place where it can be controlled). Alternativly, you could hold down the [on] key for about half a minute, at which point the calculator will return to MirageOS.
