Divid-ends?
(C) MMI Kevtiva
Version Beta 2 (0.2)

Released:
2/13/2001

Updates in v Beta 2: Bugs fixed, cleaned up a little, smaller by 2K.

When will the division end...? For all you math geeks out there...

Intro:
------

Division let's you divide and take any number out an unlimited number of
decimal places. This gives you access to all that cool stuff, like finding
out what the 101st decimal place is in pi.

My program: Limited only by the amout of free RAM. (i.e., 200+ d. places).
TI-83 (+) : Limited to only 15 decimal places.

Using the program:
------------------

1. Put your calculator in Split Screen Mode (Press MODE, then select Horiz).

2. A is the numerator (Enter in numbers, not variables or expressions).

2a. Don't enter in any zeros in front of the numbers you are inputting:
ex: 0000.334322993 might cause the program not to work properly.

3. B is the denominator (Follow the same restrictions as stated in 2.)

4. Number is the # of decimal places. It might take a couple of minutes if
you enter a huge number, like 100.

5. I didn't bother removing the debug mode. Anyway, when the program quits,
view Str2 for your answer. It is in VARS:STRING:Str2.

5a. The debug mode is all that stuff on the graph. Don't pay much
      attention to it.

6. That's about it. Sorry the program is slow; perhaps a future version will
be faster?

7. To put your calc back in normal mode, press MODE:Full.

Our website is listed at the bottom of the readme.

For those of you using TI's Flash Debugger
------------------------------------------

1. Press the stop button.

2. Select the menu choice LOAD...RAM FILES.

3. Send Answer.8xp and Division.8xp to your calc.

Miscellaneous
-------------

I wrote this program during study hall and during my recent vacation. It took
me at least 14 hours to write this prog, and it is very complicated. I had
to essentially tell the calc how to do long division in TI-BASIC.

prgmANSWER is required to for this program to work properly. For more info
on what ANSWER does, please visit our website.

This program is dedicated to Dan Yuhasz. He's the one who wanted me to write
this program.

I'm sure there are plenty of bugs, just send 'em to us!
